Just wanted to send a big thank you, to you and all the staff at Rowton Castle for making our wedding day on the 15th January such a wonderful occasion.
I know I only saw you very briefly on the day so you may not be aware I was a complete wreck by the time I arrived - a terrifying journey to Rowton Barns the night before in thick fog and several attempts to get up the drive at the Barns on the morning of the 15th which resulted in me sliding backwards on the ice. The moment I walked through the castle doors and spoke to Kirsty, however, everything seemed to run smoothly - the place was a sea of calm (mostly!) and nothing appeared to be too much trouble for the staff.
Keith was a most calming influence and made sure everyone was where they should be at all times (and explained very clearly and concisely why). The wedding food was lovely - several guests commented that it was the best wedding meal they had had so please pass on our compliments to all the kitchen and waiting staff. In fact my only problem with the whole day was that it was over far too soon!
I was asked by someone on the day to let you know the details of the florist we used (for any future Wolverhampton couples) as she was wonderful, went above and beyond the call of duty by transporting things to Rowton for us in her van and for generally being a lovely person to deal with! Her name is Gill Lumley (http://www.lumleysflorist.com)
Also, our photographers, Julia and Martin from Spinning Your Dreams were great too. We haven't seen the official shots yet but all our guests loved the Funwall in the Georgian Dining Room - they thought it was such a fun and unusual addition to the evening and the photos have been causing much hilarity ever since!
So thank you again - particularly for patiently answering all my queries in the run-up to the day! I felt a little lump in my throat leaving on the Saturday morning and seeing other couples looking round brochures in hand - it doesn't seem that long ago that it was John and I coming to see you. Hope to see you all at Rowton Castle again some day - might need to make an annual anniversary trip over.
Best wishes to you and all your colleagues at Rowton
