Firstly let us begin by thanking you for all your help and support leading up to our wedding day.  From our very first initial enquiry, which was responded to quickly and efficiently, you made the whole process of organising our wedding day more straight forward that we could have ever hoped for.  The wedding package and checklist ensured we didn’t forget anything, and your advice on the quantity of food and drink that would be needed for the day meant that no guest was left wanting for anything.

On the wedding day we were made to feel so welcome and relaxed from the moment we walked in to the venue, creating a wonderful first impression for my Mum and Dad.  And the fact that all of our guests’ rooms were available by 1pm and the check-in process for everyone went without any hitches meant that everyone’s life was made a little easier.

Gareth’s constant presence throughout the day ensured everyone and everything was exactly where they needed to be at the right time.  And his help, advice and support proved invaluable.

Everything looked amazing from the way the ceremony room was laid out and then the transformation to the wedding breakfast layout which took our breath away (we had a vision of what it would look like but the team managed to make it a reality without any help from us at all!).  Your team’s attention to detail is second to none.  The wedding breakfast itself far exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and quantity and this was echoed by all of our guests.

Everyone made comments about the beauty of the castle wedding venue and how streamlined and effortlessly the whole team performed throughout the day.  And can we just point out the teams commitment to our wedding day continued until the minute we checked out the following day (after a wonderful breakfast!).  I think you will find Simon’s best man still walking around telling anyone who will listen how amazing Rowton Castle is!

We have had, quite simply, the most magical wedding day imaginable at Rowton Castle. Fun, friendly, classy, slick, sophisticated and of the highest quality is what immediately springs to mind. We got that gut feeling when we first looked around the place and we’re so so glad we went with our instinct. A Simply Magnificent wedding venue.

From the minute we arrived, we were treated like royalty, spoke to warmly but respectfully and made to feel fully at home where nothing was too much trouble.  The Exclusive Use Package certainly helped made this possible.

Caroline, you’ve personally been a superstar the whole way though. Quietly efficient, so open and receptive to all of our extra (and even strange) requests! Organisationally you are brilliant – everything was in its place, relayed to the day staff and it worked like clockwork.

Keith was an absolute marvel. He was the best hospitality has to offer – interested in and receptive and engaging with us and our wedding – excited like it was the first time he’d done it – but so on top of everything that his professionalism was an obvious treatment to the hundreds of times he must have actually done this! (He even laughed at the right bits during my speech – good man!

Gareth’s dealing with the power cut was example of his overall skills too – graceful swan on the surface, treading water like mad underneath! – he panicked no – one, dealt with the immediate inconvenience by sourcing 20 or so torches ‘just like that’ and then got the electricity board out pronto (but made them wait until the end of the function to avoid any danger of interrupting the downstairs power supply). I was kept ‘completely in the dark’ over the whole incident but Abby was very impressed at the handling of it as was everyone else.

All the staff stuck that unique blend of second guessing what we wanted: being on hand when we needed them and being completely invisible and not at all intrusive, allowing us and our guests to fully enjoy a very memorable weekend.

Behind the scenes too, housekeeping were lovely and so efficient, particularly with the bridesmaid and myself swapping rooms on the wedding day.

The food was all wonderful, especially considering you were catering for large numbers – so pleased also thank the chef and his team.

And it’s not just us who have these words of praise! All guest commented on how wonderful the venue is and how the staff completed that picture.

It’s one thing having the perfect wedding venue, it’s another thing entirely to then make the occasion as perfect as it actually was.

Would just like to send you a quick note to say what an amazing time we had at our wedding on Friday!  From start to finish everything was even better than we could possibly of expected.

John made us feel so relaxed and took care of everything from the moment we got there to the moment he left and after Lewis took over he was also so helpful and thought of every little detail.

Would like to mention the rest of the staff  who helped make the day so magical, everyone commented on how lovely and welcoming everyone was.

I would also like to take the time to thank the housekeeping staff for helping my mum with a last minute outfit drama!  She said they were so kind and couldn’t do enough for her!

Rowton Castle is such an amazing wedding venue, all of our guests said it took their breath away as they drove up the drive, which is exactly how I felt each time I was there, from our first visit to sadly leaving on the Saturday.

Our wedding day was everything we dreamed and more and I cannot thank you enough for help making it come together so perfectly!

As we’ve sat and thought about our very special day, we could not have wished for a better venue, it was perfect in every way.

We know that you are dealing with weddings every day, but you made our wedding day so special to us.  It was as if our wedding was the only wedding that ever mattered.

All of the staff performed in a really professional manner, removing all of the worry and making sure things run so very smoothly.

The wedding breakfast and buffet were excellent and we would like to thank the chef and his team for all their hard work.

We were particularly impressed with the cleanness of the rooms and as you entered they smelt so fresh and clean and were absolutely spotless. The cleaning staff were so friendly and helpful, they are a credit to the hotel.

Keith’s professionalism was noticed by everybody, he couldn’t do enough for us.  I had terrible wedding day nerves and he knew how to handle the situation and calm me down.

With regards to Caroline, she is absolutely excellent at her job.  Everything we arranged with her was carried out to perfection.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Karen Norton, who greeted us on the day we first come to view Rowton Castle, she is a credit to your excellent team of staff and made us feel so welcome on the from our first visit to our wedding day.

When I booked Rowton Castle as a wedding venue I had the feeling that all would be well. That feeling was justified. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the simply superb attention to detail and the superb quality of everything to do with the wedding, right from my first visit to look around to the moment we left the day after the wedding.

Kate was the epitome of calmness and everything just seemed magically to happen in the right order and on time. Superb. We all felt very special and as if only our needs mattered. That is the hospitality profession at its finest and every member of your staff contributed to that feeling.

The wedding reception dinner was exceptional and in my experience, a testament to the skills of good, quality catering. The food was delicious, cooked, presented and served to perfection and actually hot, which is not found that often in large group catering. Well done!

I cannot fault anything about the wedding day.

Rowton Castle will stay in my memory for a long time and probably long enough for the wedding of my second daughter when she too gets married.

I just wanted to write to say thanks for a totally wonderful and organised wedding day.

We really couldn’t have asked for anything better from our wedding venue.  Gareth was a star all day, anything I asked he sorted within seconds.

I’ve started having reports back from all my guests now as to what they thought of the wedding day (and wedding venue) and the only response I’m getting is how superb everything was.

The staff were all super helpful and the food was out of this world. I never imagined we would have a whole pig on the hog roast table. Other weddings I have been to with hog roasts just had hot pork served from trays, never a whole pig!  Our guests were really impressed with that.  In fact not one of us or our 100 guests could fault a single thing for the whole day, or for breakfast the next morning.

I’ll be recommending the castle wedding venue to anyone who asks, or even anyone who stands still long enough for me to simply tell them.

I’d also like to give thanks to you, for always answering emails, with even the silliest of questions, and answering them rapidly. It was a great help.

A couple who chose Rowton Castle as their dream castle wedding venue, very kindly took the time to write a letter regarding their Exclusive Use wedding day….

I am writing to thank you for all your help on our fantastic wedding in February.  Every step of the way you provided advice and guidance from assistance with menu choice down to when to stand and take our seats during the wedding speeches.  For such an important day I had no doubt that everything would be wonderful.  As we got married 50 miles away we were unable to check how everything was progressing with the setup of the suite, but when I saw it for the first time I was stunned how marvellous the room looked.  I would also like to thank you for all the small extras you did for us; placing our extras in the toilets, laying out cards in friend’s bedrooms, storing our thank you gifts, and even posting back left items the following day without charge.

Caroline the wedding co-ordinator helped us every step of the way assisting us in organising our payments and putting up with my endless OCD emails regarding the planning and the finer details.  I was slightly concerned that on the day Caroline was not on duty, however Debbie exceeded our expectations.    She was fantastic on the day, every small detail I had left instruction on had been completed.  She mingled with guests and made everyone feel welcome.  All of our guests said how amazing the staff were on the wedding day, the bar staff also received compliments on their friendly manner and professionalism.

The food also surpassed my expectations.  We have been to a number of weddings and people accept that the standard of food will be adequate; however the food at Rowton Castle was exceptional.  I have no idea how your chef managed to get 60 poached eggs perfectly runny!  The evening banquet was just as good, so many people took photographs of the hog roast!

I would like to thank all of the team at Rowton Castle for making our wedding day so perfect, and for that I wanted to write a genuine letter of gratitude for a fantastic day.

We got married at Rowton Castle February this year and it was amazing in every single way! The staff were fantastic from the moment we first set foot in the place over a year ago.

The castle itself is beautiful.   It is romantic, decorated to an amazing standard (one of our ushers who travels a lot with his job said it was the nicest room he had ever stayed in) and has wonderful grounds for wedding photography. The staff were probably my favorite people on the planet for the 24hours that we had the place!

John the wedding-manager for the day kept me exactly where I needed to be all day, he even sorted out the order my bridesmaids and pageboys would walk down the aisle! He took care of literally everything, even the last minute bits that I had forgotten about till I got there!

Debbie was lovely, incredibly helpful and funny, and seemed to be there every time I thought of a daft question;

Danni on the reception desk was an absolute darling and was so lovely to all our guests and Lewis was a complete star! From helping to lug crates full of table decorations in through the delivery entrance the night before, to ringing the florists husband on the morning to get her to bring extra flowers that I suddenly realised I needed and bringing up drinks and food to us whenever we needed it on the morning, nothing was too much!

Finally, Caroline the wedding co-ordinator at the wedding venue was superb for putting my mind at rest whenever I had daft questions to ask (and there were a few!).

The civil ceremony location was beautiful and the room looked incredible, the turnaround for the wedding meal was PERFECT, I had spent loads of time planning exactly how I wanted my tables decorated and a big chunk of our budget went on asthetics, I nipped in to see how things were looking after the pictures, expecting to have to move stuff, and I swear I nearly fainted – it was all perfect and looked stunning!

The food was gorgeous, the service was fantastic, even the bar staff in the evening were absolute diamonds!

Breakfast the next day was lovely as well and a great opportunity to chat again to all our guests before they left.

I honestly cannot recommend Rowton Castle highly enough, after reading the wedding venue reviews online was already feeling confident but it completely blew us and our guests away.

Wendy (resident florist) did a wonderful job of our flowers, Linda (makeup) made me look lovely and told me I looked like Holly Willougbhy which is always a bonus! Mel (Hairdresser) was also wonderful and so many people told me how amazing my hair looked on the day. Will Tudor (DJ) is essential for anyone booking a wedding here, he seriously seemed to have access to any song my guests requested, no matter how obscure and was an all round excellent bloke!

Think that covers it, but I am so so glad that we booked Rowton Castle as our wedding venue, can’t imagine having had our wedding day elsewhere!

I am just writing to say a huge thank you on behalf of my wife and I for an absolutely perfect wedding day!! This is a rather belated thank you as we got married with you in October 2009!!

Now things have settled down and I have some photos to show you we would like to pass on all out huge thanks to all your staff. The whole day from start to finish was organized to perfection by your staff. We met Caroline initially to organise our wedding in advance. She was both helpful and very professional. It was so pleasant to be able to sit and chat about our wishes and requirements for our ‘Big Day’ in the comfort of the lounge with a very friendly atmosphere.

All the staff on the day did an amazing job from the cleaners (who are excellent may I add) to the chef’s. The food was amazing and wine selection was very good.

Our special thanks goes to Keith for being our organizer on the day! He did an amazing job keeping us both apart before the ceremony despite the pair of us wanting to wanting to move around the castle for photos and videos. He did an excellent job ensuring we kept to time but more importantly he kept us very calm!!

We are a large family and had just over 100 guest. They all commented on what an amazing Castle Wedding Venue Rowton Castle is. Like us they thought the food was perfect and the organization was second to none.

We ended the evening with comments from our guests like:

‘This is the perfect wedding venue’ the castle is magical, if only we had gotten married here and this is the most perfect wedding we are had ever to, and we have been to a few!’

This not only made us immensely but also very proud to have had our wedding at Rowton! Your staff should all be very proud at what they had achieved and we cannot begin to thank you enough for making our wedding so perfect!!

Keith & Caroline ~ Thank you both, for all your help in arranging our wedding. The day itself was amazing, Keith you were brilliant, you did a wonderful job on the day and all our guests said how professional you were, and how much they enjoyed the day and the stay at the castle!!!

Please thank your chef (the food was fabulous, especially the brushetta starter), the waiting staff and the rest of the staff for all their help both before and on the day. We could not have asked for a better day, it still all seems a dream. I was so nervous about everything but Keith eased my nerves by talking me through the day and gave me clear instructions. I didn’t have a clue what side of the aisle I walked down, how to arrange the bridesmaids etc..etc.. and he was just brilliant and I am sure if it wasn’t for you Keith the day wouldn’t have ran so smoothly.

The castle itself is a beautiful place and hopefully somewhere that we will return to in the future. I know my brother (our Bestman) is planning to have his wedding with yourselves in either 2010 or 2011 and we are already both excited about returning as a guest at his wedding so we can just relax and enjoy the day without the nerves of our own wedding.

What can we say!!!! You made our dreams come true!!! Our wedding was absolutely fabulous.

From the moment we arrived to checking out on Friday we felt like the King and Queen of the castle. All our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

When we were trying to find a wedding venue, we read peoples comments and wondered if it is a good as they make out. Well, for us it was and more. We couldn’t have asked for more.

One of our guests had forgotten his shirt. His partner rang down to reception to see where the nearest shop was so they could go and get another. No need, the staff sorted the problem and came up with two shirts for him to borrow. Nothing was too much trouble.

Every little detail that was important to us was sorted out by the staff. Everyone had a smile on their face; All the staff are a credit to the hotel. Fantastic!!!!

I would like to thank you and all your staff for a truly magical day. What a day!! The Castle, the grounds, the food, your staff, that was just the start. It really was a fairytale wedding. We were made to feel so very special from the moment I arrived until the moment we left.

On the day itself, things could not have been more perfect. We already knew the setting of the Castle would be magical and all the guests were in awe of the surroundings – the weather was extremely kind to us so the sun shone all day, allowing us and the guests the opportunity to spend time in the wonderful gardens and woodland areas which were breathtaking.

We cannot speak highly enough of Gareth and the team looking after us on the day, he was absolutely fantastic, made the guests welcome and ensured everything ran like clockwork all day. All the guests commented on how professional the staff were and the high quality of the meals served, both the Wedding Breakfast and the Hog Roast.

Finally, all the guests staying over were so impressed with the standards of the rooms, we in particular loved the Bridal Suite.

So from us both, all our guests, please accept our sincere gratitude and thanks for providing us with the perfect setting and service for our unforgettable day.

Please find attached a letter thanking all the staff involved for a fantastic day. We have talked about it ever since and will remember it forever.

Having got married at Rowton Castle in September this year, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for providing us with such an amazing day. We had the most wonderful time, which was due largely to the thought and detail that clearly goes into weddings at Rowton.

The venue of course, outstanding. Everything looks like it was refurbished just yesterday and is for the usage only of an elite few. We appreciate just how difficult, time consuming and costly this must be.

Gareth and his staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, everything was thought out well in advance and provided with a smile. We felt completely at ease the moment we walked in through the door. The castle staff could not have been more attentive and polite, not only on the day but in the run up to the wedding, with Caroline being on hand to answer every little query. We never felt pushed to accept anything, choices were simply presented and then delivered exactly as promised.

In terms of value for money, I think the service you provided us with was outstanding; we felt like you had only us in mind, with no hint of a wedding the day before and the day after. Our guests have all commented on the style and luxury they experienced whilst feeling totally comfortable and at home. I have copied a quote from one of our guests , which really sums up the atmosphere we felt on the day:

I just wanted to say thank you so much for inviting me to your wonderful day on Friday. All weddings are fun and all weddings are a privilege to be part of, but few ascend to the heights of something immeasurably special. Yours certainly did.

Something that goes far beyond the venue, the food and drink, the entertainment and the fellow guests (all of which were first class) has to fall into place. A number of indefinable’s and ineffables have to align and when that happens there is a very palpable sense that you are involved in something very special, hugely positive and entirely right.’’

We had our wedding at Rowton Castle in July this year. It was the best day of our lives. The staff, the location, food – everything was second to none. We had the best value for money and had exclusive use of the place for 24 hours.

The day was fabulous and all our guests could not praise it enough. If anyone is looking for the ideal location for a wedding then this is it.

We travelled from Lancashire and it was well worth it. Everyone loved the whole day. The day was so special, thanks to all the staff. The made everyone feel really welcome and we felt that we could not have experienced anything like this anywhere else.

We held our wedding at Rowton Castle in February, and we had a perfect day witch was largely due to the staff of this Hotel. From the Duty Manager to the glass collector, they literally could not do enough for us. The Function Suite was flexible for good or bad weather (luckily we were blessed with good weather), the staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was high quality and we loved our room, by the way they just spent a fortune on the first floor bedrooms, FANTASTIC!!!!! .

We booked out the hotel for exclusive use, and our friends (both those who stayed there and those who didn’t) are still talking about what a great wedding it was.

The food was cooked to perfection and served with finesse (we were trying to suit 90 people), and the kitchen were very flexible and helpful in accommodating vegetarians, nut and lactose allergies and a handful of small children. We had bacon baps and chips later in the evening. What a treat!!!

The Hotel inside looks stunning very well kept, we loved the look and the feel of the place very classy. The honeymoon suite is stunning, with a Jacuzzi bath and plasma screen television???

The grounds are also lovely for photographs, especially the tree – cedar of Lebanon-(they told me the name).

I would say overall this place is a gem. Even if you do not stay here book a meal you will not be disappointed.

Everything is superb!!  Wedding was handled in an excellent way and was run very smoothly.
