  1. My hubby and I got married at Rowton Castle in August of this year – what an amazing wedding venue.
We had to wait a while to get an appointment to view the castle in the first place as they get so booked up, but it was worth it. From the moment we walked through the door we felt like royalty, and this didn’t change at any stage.
All our friends and family said it was the most amazing wedding they had ever been too.
The exclusive package worked really well for us; the meal was lovely and the Hog Roast went down really well in the evening. The suppliers they recommended, Will Tudor the DJ and Wendy the florist were also great.
If you are looking for a dream wedding venue, Rowton Castle is for you, I wouldn’t even look anywhere else

  2. David and I married at Rowton Castle on November 29th this year.
Rowton is a beautiful venue which combines the grandeur of an old English Castle with an ambience of warmth, romance and intimacy.
The staff provide a truly excellent service that is friendly and very professional whilst at the same time, unobtrusive.
The food, the service, the rooms were all perfect.
Well done to the whole team.

  3. Kieran and I married at Rowton Castle just coming up to a year ago now (February 15th 2008) and we can truly say it was the best day of our lives.

From the moment of making our first enquiry right the way through to leaving the morning after the wedding the service we received was absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible, the staff were friendly as well as professional and couldn’t do enough to help us.

Anybody looking to book Rowton Castle as a wedding venue should do it now, it is most definitely a decision you will not regret.

Thank you so much to everybody who gave us such a wonderful day

  4. We held our wedding at Rowton Castle in February, and we had a perfect day witch was largely due to the staff of this Hotel. From the Duty Manager to the glass collector, they literally could not do enough for us. The Function Suite was flexible for good or bad weather (luckily we were blessed with good weather), the staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was high quality and we loved our room, by the way they just spent a fortune on the first floor bedrooms, FANTASTIC!!!!! .

We booked out the hotel exclusive, and our friends (both those who stayed there and those who didn’t) are still talking about what a great wedding it was.

The food was cooked to perfection and served with finesse (we were trying to suit 90 people), and the kitchen were very flexible and helpful in accommodating vegetarians, nut and lactose allergies and a handful of small children. We had bacon baps and chips later in the evening. What a treat!!!
The Hotel inside looks stunning very well kept, we loved the look and the feel of the place very classy. The honeymoon suite is stunning, with a Jacuzzi bath and plasma screen television???

The grounds are also lovely for photographs, especially the tree – cedar of Lebanon-(they told me the name). I would say overall this place is a gem. Even if you do not stay here book a meal you will not be disappointed.

  5. Rowton castle was the best decision we ever made! We had looked at several castles and manors previously to visiting Rowton, but all just weren’t right. Castles that were advertised as such did not have the grandness that Rowton did. It was truly the most fairytale.

They were not pushy like other venues. They gave gentle guidance while letting us dictate how we wanted our day to go. Many other castles that we visited required you to pay for unlimited champagne or to hire one of their approved caterers and external staff which would make smooth running more difficult as one didn’t know the other.

We had the salmon mousse, beef wellington and creme brulee – all to die for. The service was fanastic. We got married 7 weeks ago and everyone can’t stop commenting. they all think it cost 3x as much as it did and has been described as a wag wedding but classier.

The grounds are stunning. We visited initially when it was snowing and got wed in fantastic summer sun – both equally as beautiful. The grounds are immaculate and well kept and some of the best pictures were taken here..

You could bring anything you want, even if it was against their reccommendations ie we had bell vases on the floor with rose petals and a candle in for when I walked up the alter.

    A truly spectacular venue

  6. Hi Caroline, Keith, Jack and all the team

Well what can we say……….WOW WOW WOW.

What a wonderful day we had (and all our guests). Everyone commented on how amazing the Castle, the Food and the Service was. Well above our expectations.

We will be posting an official thank you card and letter.

  7. My wife and I got married in August 2011 at Rowton Castle, Shropshire. In the run-up to the big day, the castle were keen to help in as many areas as possible, even helping to advise on local florists, photographers and DJs. The organisation on the day was also incredible, and my wife and I were extremely well looked after, as were all the guests.

I have nothing but praise for this venue, and they catered for every little strangeness (!) that we wanted to introduce to the day – quite rare for an established ‘traditional’ venue, I believe. Local businesses Wyle Cop Flowers (situated in town, very friendly, very knowledgeable), Stuart Hay Photography (exceptionally professional and helpful, a delight to work with) and DJ Will Tudor (happy to work with standard wedding-type-setlists and absolutely anything else we asked for, from The Smiths to dubstep..!) were all extremely accommodating also, and I heartily recommend their services to anyone considering getting married at Rowton. All three contributed magnificently to making it the best day of our lives, and the staff at the castle itself were faultless. I cannot imagine anybody having any complaints about this venue. Food was absolutely excellent also!

If considering Rowton Castle, I recommend arranging a meeting with Jack or another member of the management team here – you will instantly feel very welcome and you will be given the full run-down of everything they can provide. My wife and I felt comfortable and confident that everything would go smoothly from our very first meeting. As I write this, it is 5 months since the big day… and I want to go back for a visit. Perhaps that’s sad… but I don’t think so. You will see from the gallery on this site that the grounds and the building itself are truly beautiful, and each time we visited as the wedding approached, it was clear that the castle and its surroundings harbour a magical atmosphere, perfect for a 21st Century wedding celebration.

  8. My husband and I were married at rowton in november 2011, what can I say, our best man started his speech with “wow” the castle is stunning the staff are wonderful and make you feel like the most important person in the world for the whole 24hrs that you are there, my guests were amazed at the setting the food and the beautiful bedrooms,my husband is a head chef for a huge organisation and said that the wedding breakfast was just perfect, the amount of food and the taste and presentation far exceeded are expectations. Every bride thinks her wedding was the best, but seriously mine was, I felt like a princess in her castle and I will never forget my wonderful day, my guests are still talking about it now and how much they loved are wedding, and Gareth my help on the day is a credit to rowton, as are all the staff, keep up the perfect work, and I would reccomend rowton castle to any bride and groom if they want their day to run smooth and be so perfect that you think your in fairyland, cheesy I know but so true, thank you roton for everything.
